The Design Department didn't exist at my current job until I took the initiative to create one and show our clients the power design has to elevate.

Manage and mentor design team while elevating all design work from good to excellent through constructive feedback and art direction
Communicate with key stakeholders during each step of the design process to properly diagnose and prescribe elegant solutions to each of their problems
Create and maintain websites with clear user experiences and easily digestible content using a variety of web builders (and custom HTML/CSS when needed)
Design a variety of print/digital marketing materials including but not limited to posters, social/banner ads, billboards, emails, brochures, stories/reels, business cards, signage, etc. as well as all-inclusive branding packages

Implemented UX testing, research, and best practices to develop a component-based design system for the byui.edu site, serving a student body of 24,000+
Worked with developers to revise the design, content, and strategy of department websites in order to address mobile responsiveness and improve user traffic
Overhauled the global web typography styles across the University’s 16,000+ web pages, resulting in improved legibility, hierarchy, and responsiveness
Oversaw and collaborated with a team of 6 designers to meet core client needs
